First Nations – Aboriginal People

Langley is home to the Stó:lō Nation, or River People, a group of First Nations peoples inhabiting
the Fraser Valley. The city is situated on territorial lands and hosts an annual Salmon Ceremony.
The three aboriginal bands residing in Langley include:
• Katzi First Nation – Members of no tribal council
• Kwantlen First Nation – Members of the Stó:lō Nation Society
• Mastqui First Nation – Members of the Stó:lō Tribal Council
