LANGLEY — There was a moment in Saturday’s Telus B.C. senior girls triple-A basketball championship final when Aislinn Konig, while preparing to attack the defence, started into her dribble and then started kicking up a shuffle of sorts with her feet.

With the defence frozen by her flutter-step move, her high-arcing floater deflected off the glass and through the hoop.

LSS Football moves on to BC Quarter Finals!

It has been a long, hard road for our football program and we are so proud of the perseverance of the staff involved since the inception of the program. The game on Friday was unbelievably exciting where LSS beat Ballenas 41-19. Come support our team on Saturday at BC Place as LSS takes on Vernon in the quarter finals. Tickets are available in the office and transportation will be provided.

Aldergrove sisters off to Canada camp

A pair of Aldergrove sisters are hoping to land spots in their respective Canadian rosters.

Sarah and Amy Potomak earned invitations to Hockey Canada evaluation camps in Calgary. The camps began yesterday (Thursday) and run until Aug. 16.

Buckingham silver leads Gators

Robyn Buckingham captured the silver medal in the senior girls heptathlon at the B.C. high school provincial combined events championships.
