Over the years Langley School District has built and maintained a solid reputation for delivering quality programs to students.  Students will enjoy great experiences and equal opportunities while achieving their goals regardless of their school of choice. All schools offer strong support for International Students, including ELL support. All schools have a full range of academic courses, elective courses, extracurricular activities and sport teams.

Programs and Education

International High School students studying in Langley can take advantage of a wide range of programs available to them. Students may come for our summer English and Culture Programs, a year of academic English, or they can begin their study and work towards graduation and receive the British Columbia Dogwood Graduation Diploma.

Students can choose from a variety of classes, all taught by Government trained and certified teachers. In addition to the standard core courses and elective courses, we offer a number of specialized programs are offered.

English Language Courses

International Students are tested upon arrival to determine how much English Language Support will be required.

We believe in integration into regular classes with Canadian students as soon as possible giving International Students opportunities to see, hear and experience Canadian language and culture. We are careful to assign students to classes and course content appropriate to their language skills. Students receive comprehensive English Language Training while studying academic courses at a pace they can manage.

Clubs and Activities

Our schools have many clubs, teams and activities in which International Students can participate, offering them opportunities to connect with Canadian Students and practice their English in a natural, easy going environment. Please check school profiles for a complete range of activities available at each school.

Student Support

Each school has its own International Coordinator to guide students through the challenges of studying in another country. Follow this link for more information on our Student Support.

Homestay

A large part of our Secondary Program success is due to our homestay program. Students stay with friendly families in comfortable homes, all organized and monitored by our own homestay coordinator. Please check homestay for more information.
