Miky is our Korean-speaking multi-cultural worker who has been working in the International Student Program for 8 years. Her role is to act as a liaison between the parents, students and our schools. Miky devotes her time assisting and guiding students, as well as senior students who are applying for post-secondary institutions. As she herself is an immigrant and raised her own child and two nephews in Canada, she understands cultural differences and challenges new students and parents face. Twice a year Miky hosts “Parent Info Session”, which was deemed useful for new parents. She readily offers advice regarding adjustment in the school and to the culture of Canada. She is a good listener and does her best to support ISP students and parents.
