Minjoo Cha, a Grade 12 student at D.W. Poppy Secondary, has been offered a $20K Outstanding International Student Award/Scholarship by UBC, Vancouver campus.

Minjoo is an outstanding student who has been studying at D.W. Poppy Secondary since she entered our program in grade 9. She has excelled in her academic coursework and, by the end of this school year, she will have written five Advanced Placement exams. She has already written AP Calculus AB (scoring a 5, the top score possible) and AP Biology (scoring a 3). This May, she is writing AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Chemistry.

We are proud of Minjoo, not only for her academic success, but for the leadership she’s shown in our program by mentoring and peer tutoring other students and by helping out with various events.
