The WGSS Debate Team recently attended the Fraser Valley Regional tournament at Fraser Heights Secondary on January 17. The coaches (Alice Kim, Anna Hwang, Heon Lee) were there along with our sponsor teacher, Mr. Young. Both our novice team (Michelle Tang and Leia Kim) and our junior team (Yilian Zhao and Netanya Castillo) did extremely well. The team of Leia Kim and Michelle Tang has also qualified for Provincials! The rankings were as follows: Leia Kim – 2nd highest scoring individual novice speaker in Lower Mainland East Leia Kim and Michelle Tang- 3rd highest scoring novice team in Lower Mainland East
