Kathy Lim – Royal Canadian Junior Girls Championship
I would like to thank many people for my early success and accomplishments. First of all, I would like to give gratitude to the Langley School District #35 especially my school, R.E Mountain Secondary for providing one of the best educations in the province while providing the best teachers and classmates possible. I have been at Mountain ever since grade 8 and I am beyond excited to graduate from this same school along with its grad class of 2014. A couple of shout outs to teachers who have taught me many things and majorly helped me along the way, Mrs. Ferguson, Mrs. Hu, Mr. Carroll, and Mr. Weiss. Huge thank you to Mr. Hantke, the vice principal of MSS, who has supported my golf career a 100% and guided me through the highs and lows of the student athlete life.

I have made a couple of friendships that I know will last a life time, I cannot forget to say thank you to my best friends, Lesley McSweeney, Carrigan Lutman, and Kayley Sewak for understanding my differences and being there for me no matter what. Smart, fun, and caring, one could not ask for better best friends than these ladies, the memories will be cherished forever and I will greatly miss them.
As I was on 2013 Team Canada’s dev squad, I would like to thank my national team coaches, Tristan Mullally and Ann Carroll, sports psychologist, Adrienne Too-good, Physiotherapist, Greg Redman, Fitness trainer, Jason Glass and sponsors of Team Canada, RBC, Titleist, FJ, and Under Armor for all the opportunities and challenges I was able to face and endure. Also to my personal coach Rob Houlding and fitness trainer, Ken Hsiao, thank you for motivating and helping me develop from the rock bottom to where I stand now. Lastly but most importantly, I think of my mom, dad and older sister, May. They are the sole reason I am who I am, they deserve more credit than I ever will. Biggest thank you goes out to my family for always being there with their endless love, pushing me, comforting me, leading and encouraging me through these tough couple of years to have made the national team or be on my way to play college golf at the great University of Michigan with a full scholarship.
These are just a major few that have impacted my life; I cannot say enough thanks to those who have given me words of encouragement and has helped me throughout, it wasn’t easy but at the end, it was more than worth it.
